Where and when do we meet?
Regular monthly Meetings, Sewing Days and Workshops are held at Pulteneytown Parish Church Hall in Argyll Square in Wick. From time to time we meet in other venues, including a biannual visit to Strathpeffer.
From April to October monthly Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
In November, January and February the monthly Meetings are at 2.00pm as part of the Saturday Sewing Days and Member Led Workshops which take place from 10.00 to 4.00 on the last Saturday of each month every month except December.
The Annual General Meeting is held on the last Tuesday of March from 7.00 to 9.30 in one of the halls in Pulteneytown Parish Church.
Workshops led by members or visiting tutors are held throughout the year.
Saturday Sewing Days
A Saturday Sewing Day is organised each month (except December) when you are welcome to come and "Sew your own thing", or take part in a workshop led by a member of Caithness Quilters. These days are also useful for members to get together to make group quilts.
A short "Skills Slot" session is part of each monthly meeting with an explanation or demonstration of how to do the practical things which underlie patchwork and quilting. Please tell us the skills you'd like us to include in future slots.
Whilst every meeting is a social event, there are a couple of special sewing social days which take place each year. One of these is the annual joint meeting with Highland Quilters. A similar day, just for ourselves, is our Christmas Lunch and Sewing Social on the last Saturday of November.
Wick Gala Week Exhibition
A Gala Exhibition day is staged in the Assembly Rooms in Wick.
